Pittsburgh Region Cadillac LaSalle Club
From the Desk of the Director
September, 2007

Sadly, back-to-school means a winding-down of Car Season…

It’s in the air… the evenings are a little cooler, the school buses are back in business, and car cruisers are noticing their “dance cards” aren’t quite as filled with car shows and events.

Even though these harbingers of fall sound the warning that the seasons are changing, the Pittsburgh Region of the Cadillac-LaSalle Club is holding onto hope that our last two events of the season will be well-attended successes.

On Sunday, September 23, we’ll host our annual Picnic. This year we thought we’d try a change of venue to South Park (the Picnic was held at Moon Park in prior years). For details on the Picnic, see page 3.

Additionally, our Activities Director, John Norris, has been working hard to finalize the club’s plans for the Falling Water Excursion, scheduled for October 20. This promises to be a fun-filled event for all. For details and registration information, see page 5.

Don’t forget about the Friday Car Cruise at Northway Community Church and the Sunday Car Cruise at Caste Village — these are two well-attended weekly events quickly coming to a close for the season (for details, see page 6).

One more plug: last month, I encouraged all to think about attending our Regional Board Meetings. They’re held every six weeks (or so), usually in Robinson Twp. at the Eat ‘N’ Park — check page 1 of your Caddy Chatter for any potential changes in location. All are welcome to assist in the planning of club events.

In this issue of The Caddy Chatter, see how two of our Regional Board Members, Lee Herbermann and Mike Josephic were honored at the Grand National held in Savannah, GA at the beginning of August (page 3). Congratulations Lee and Mike! Finally, a classic article (from 1928) can be found on page 4 — the sentiments are still true of Cadillacs and LaSalles, nearly 90 years into the future. So now, even more than ever… Drive smart; drive right — Drive Cadillac!
