Pittsburgh Region Cadillac LaSalle Club Director's Corner - February 15, 2007 |
As I write this, it’s snowing and bitterly cold outside but as the Groundhog said, Spring is just around the corner so start dusting off your Caddy! The Pittsburgh Region just held our first event for 2007, “Sweetheart’s Night”, which was very successful. See the article elsewhere in this issue for details. Our next scheduled event will be the “Brunch” on Sunday, April 29th at Gullifty’s in Squirrel Hill. Details will follow in a separate mailing. Along those same lines, I would like to thank the members who came forward with ideas for several new events. We will try to incorporate some of these into 2007’s schedule. One of the key ways to grow our membership is to have new and different events, to attract a wider spectrum of people to join. We are looking at a number of new things to try, everything from simple lunch outings (bring your car and meet for lunch) up to and including another Car Show later in the Fall. The location for the Annual Picnic will be changed, since the Apollo Shelter at Moon Park is getting more expensive and at the same time, attendance was down. Several ideas for a new locale are on the table now and being discussed. We’ll keep you informed. Please don’t forget the following:
* Contact me or any Board Member with ideas for events. Happy Motoring,
