|Pittsburgh Region Cadillac LaSalle Club
Director's Corner - November 15, 2006
As I write this, the Holiday’s are approaching quickly and our season of Cadillac events for 2006 is history.
The Pittsburgh Region hosted a number of fabulous events this year. Some were better attended than others, but overall I believe we had an excellent year! Sweetheart’s Night at Carmodies and the Annual Car Show at Rohrich were the best attended and most successful. Thanks to all of the members who helped put these and the other activities together. The Club can’t function and grow due solely to efforts of just one or two individuals – it has to be a “Team Effort “ in order to succeed.
Along those same lines, I would like to thank the members who came forward with ideas for several new events. We will try to incorporate some of these into 2007’s schedule. One of the key ways to grow our membership is to have new and different events, to attract a wider spectrum of people to join.
I encourage anyone with an idea for a new event to contact me or any of the Board Members. However, the “idea” alone is not enough – you must be prepared to help formulate the plan and work the event. As I said, one or two people can’t carry the entire load. Please help make our Club even more successfull in 2007 !! Step up and volunteer !!
Our first scheduled event for 2007 will once again be “Sweetheart’s Night” mid February at Carmodies. The exact date and details will be announced after the Holidays.
With that, Karen and I want to wish you all a happy Holiday Season and all the best for the New Year. See you in February.
